Forum Non Conveniens

Forum non conveniens is a doctrine that can apply, in addition to venue, to challenge the appropriateness of a forum for the case. The remedy is dismissal, not transfer. As you read the following case, take note of how the case developed, and ask yourself why the defense lawyers raised the issue when they did.
