"Rule of the Day"

Go to regulations.gov and peruse the website. Be prepared to answer the following questions:

1. What is the purpose of this site?

2. Who is it for?

3. Click on "What's Trending?" Identify, if applicable, one thing herein that affects your or your (potential) clients. Perhaps there is something here that relates to work you have done during the summer. We want to hear about it!

During the semester, I will require each student to report on a "Rule of the Day". You must find a proposed rule you think is interesting. The day before your scheduled class, you must send me an email 1) summarizing the rule, 2) identifying which agency proposed it, 3) identifying under what statutory authority, and 4) what the comments are saying for and against the rule. If called upon, you must then give a brief 3-5 minute presentation about the proposed rule at the beginning of class.
