2021 Atlanta Spa Murders

On March 16, 2021, Robert Aaron Long shot and killed eight people and wounded another.  The shootings took place at three spas in the Atlanta area.  Six of the victims were Asian women.  Long, an evangelical Christian, claimed that he committed the killings because of his sex/pornography addiction, and that he had been a customer at two of the spas, which he saw as sources of sexual temptation.
