Why It's Hard to Punish Bad Samaritans
In most states, people simply cannot be punished for neglecting to take action. However, in Rhode Island, Minnesota, and Vermont, people can be prosecuted for omissions with a broad duty to rescue. This article explores "bad samaritan laws."
