Today’s class will consist of a brief tour of insurance regulation in the United States. Readings include an Introduction to Insurance Regulation from the Regulation of Financial Institutions (1999), which provides an historical overview of insurance regulation, and a recent article describing reforms (and challenges) as a result of changes made to insurance regulation in the Dodd-Frank Act.
