An examination of Asian American jurisprudence, focusing on anti-Asian sentiment in the late 19th century and early 20th century, discrimination against and internment of Japanese Americans surrounding World War II, and continued discrimination post-1965.
This casebook was created to support a course examining the experience of Asians and Asian Americans at various points in United States history. Three main areas of focus are immigration and anti-Asian sentiment from 1850-1930, discrimination against and internment of Japanese Americans during World War II, and continued discrimination post-1965.
